Poor Jack....

Well yesterday my little guy woke up with a "rash". We figured it was something that we have already been treating and maybe a side effect of the cream we have been using or his eczema flaring up. I took him to the doctor and the poor kid has the chicken pox. Oy vey! Yes he has been immunized, but 1 in 6 kids still end up with an A-typical version of the chicken pox. Good times is all I can say!!! So, no school for Jack until they start to scab. Thankfully right now they are only in his groan and butt area, but driving him nuts. Anyway, fingers crossed this is it! He just can't get a break when it comes to his skin. :)

Jack and his dog...

Jack had me take a picture of him today for school of he and Sox. They are supposed to bring in pics of their pets. Notice how he is holding Sox. Poor dog. But, such a sweet dog that just goes along with it.

Spring is here...

This morning I took a break and took some pics of our flowers coming up in the yard. We spent a lot of time last fall planting a lot of bulbs. I find the best bulbs I have planted come from a website Dutch Gardens. Around our trees we did the crocuses and then we also planted Tulips which are just starting to come up.

The crocuses are looking so bright and springy! I look forward to watching the rest of our flowers pop up as the warm weather continues here. Of course we have some leaves this week that look like they have been nibbled on. So, time to get the Deer Off out and spray the gardens again. This stuff stinks, but it will keep the deer and rabbits away. Sometimes it even keeps kids away because it smells so bad. HA!

Of course my favorite flower of the spring is a toss up between the crocuses and daffodils. There is just something about those 2 flowers that always makes me smile. Some day I hope to check off my life list that I have worked or owned a flower shop. We will see. You will have to wait and see what my favorite flower of the summer is....

In case you wonder why I call my kids snuggle bugs. Here are some pics of how snuggly they can be when they don't have ants in their pants. :)

Last Indoor Soccer Game...

This week Jack and Meg had their last indoor soccer game. It is amazing how far Jack has come in his game of soccer and how much more he loves it. Meg has come along too, but I am thinking this is not her sport. :) They are going to continue to play soccer in an outdoor league that starts in a little over a week. So, I am looking forward to watching them progress.

I think Jack's favorite position to play is goalie or making the goals. He had 5 or 6 goals this session. Which was great for him!! One game he got 3 of them. He is definitely going to be carrying on the McDermott soccer skills that his Great Grandpa Jim brought over from Scotland! And of course it helps that Jack's daddy plays soccer too.

Did you know they call guys that play soccer Lawn Fairies?? Maybe that is why Meg likes soccer. :) As you can see from this pic Meg was done with the game. It was hard to have to be inside when the weather is so beautiful outside! Oh well Life goes on!

Happy Easter to all!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter yesterday!! We had a great day and beautiful weather! The kids got to do an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's house with their cousins Isaac, Haley and Elliot! It was a lot of fun! Lots of great food was devoured at their house as well!

Then we came home and the kids played in the neighborhood for a few hours. All in all it was a wonderful weekend! Kids are still off of school and will be until Wednesday.

Bird Watching??

Here is a new take on bird watching from the eyes of a dog. :) Maverick was taking part in the bird watching too, but would not sit still for the picture. Instead this is the shot I got of Maverick. Of course terrorizing Sox. HA!!

Dog Sitting??

Ally has brought new meaning to the term "Dog sitting"....
